Jill Foltz's art investigates the tensions of space, both physical and temporal, and the liminal zones between fine and decorative art, masculine and feminine, cute and threatening. The pieces incorporate fine art media alongside found objects and the materials of domestic construction, and employ a palette normally reserved for commercial imagery. Themes of nostalgia, adventure, isolation, and spatial dysphoria link the works across a variety of mediums, including painting, collage, and installation.
